Bio
I'm a 24 year old stock car driver from Merlin, Ontario, Canada. I started racing in 2003 in the Econo Division at South Buxton Raceway and in my rookie season I won 8 races total, 2 being Feature wins. I then ran a limited schedule until 2006 when my father, Steve Sr. and myself shared a Limited Late Model where I picked up 2 more wins, one being a Feature Victory. We finished the season 3rd. in points. 2007-2009 was tough as I was on the sidelines watching the races as a spectator and all that time wanting to be back on the race track as a competitor. 2010 brought hope as I started the season as a crew member for the Rick Hornick Racing Team. Eventually we came up with a plan to build a second Mod-4 car that was finally finished in August and brought to the track. The first night out in the new car showed great promise that it would be a strong threat to win. The second week out brought our first win in a Heat race and we ran a top 5 in the Feature. We went on to finish the few remaining nights with 3 more wins and a bunch of top 5's. Another highlight of the year was on April 24th. I married my loving wife Megan and we now have 3 wonderful little girls (Brooklynn, Hailey, and Shyanne). 2011 started out strong for the team and myself with back to back Feature finishes of 2nd. and 3rd. resulting in us running in the top 3 in points. Then a long string of problems happened week after week that took us out of the point race early in the season. At the midway point of the year we got on a good roll working our way back from 15th. in points to finish the season in 9th. It turned out to be my best year yet with 12 wins total. Another season highlight was attending the first Mod-4 race at the paved Delaware Speedway near London, Ontario. More good news followed at seasons end when I got selected to attend the "Race 101 School" with a full scholarship for 2012.
