Most Embarrassing /What Was I Thinking Moment In Racing
06/18/11 After getting a substantial lead early in the race I was just counting laps, blowing the horn and playing up to the crowd. I could hear the kids cheering as I was going by, I didn't realize that they were cheering for my wife who was chomping away at my lead rather quickly. When I first noticed her closing she was about a straightaway behind me, the next lap she was half a straightaway behind me, the next lap she was on my back bumper and passing me. I figured the two of us would have fun racing each other until the finish, she had other things in mind and checked out on me. It was so bad I started thinking something was wrong with my car even though it felt fine and I started checking all my gauges and looking for the rest of the field to be coming up behind me. They never did and the car was running fine, she just absolutely blew my doors off. It was a very humbling night and hopefully it stays my most embarrassing moment.
